Is A HIV Test Done At 12 Weeks Conclusive?

Question: I want to tell you whole story.I put myself on risk of hiv by unprotected vaginal sex and because of that i felt lot of worry for a long time .I felt symptoms like hot flashes,feverish feelings ,light headedness,headaches,abdominal problems intermittently not severe.I thought after testing they would go but they had remained.My test was negative at 12 weeks which doctors say is conclusive but due to these symptoms i suspect my test might be due to stress.There was a lot of hair loss in this period and a whitish line like discolouration developed on my face .I know my test is conclusive but how can i get rid of these anxiety symptoms?i can't study much due to it.i am planning to go for another hiv test as well.While i am gymming or i am engaged in some work i feel ok but when i am studying or doing nothing it feels bad and unwellness.What should i do?

There can be other medical conditions responsible for your symptoms and hair loss. It may not be HIV but a complete health check is required.

Regarding HIV, two tests should be done after 90 and 180 days and if both are negative then the chances of infection are almost nil.

It might be that you are having anxiety related stress and that is causing your symptoms, especially when you are not doing anything. I suggest you go out on walks, meet friends or listen to music when not having any work at hand.

Please relax and take things easy. Getting HIV test is only for peace of mind.

What includes in overall medical checkup sir?The symptoms i have explained to you can they be related to anxiety particularly can really anxiety especially long term can pose these king of problems?If it is related to anxiety ,what can i do to get rid of these problems?How anxiety really causes these kind of problems as i read somewhere that hormonal balance is lost?I initially felt like adrenal fatigue(mornings fatigued and evenings good) so i strongly feel that they might be due to stress?So i want to know can previous anxiety for a long time can cause me these problems now as well?

Complete health check up includes compete blood hemogram, Chest X ray, ultrasound scan abdomen, random blood sugar, thyroid function tests and liver and kidney function tests.

Anxiety can cause many physical symptoms including feeling weakness, hot flashes, tiredness, abdominal discomfort and headaches.

Please try and forget your incidents and follow a daily routine with good fitness and diet plans.

Try not to be alone and think about the sexual incident. If you are HIV negative then most likely even in the next test you will be negative.

Always have sex with condoms if it involves multiple partners.
