Is Suboxone When Consumed Detectable In A Urine Test?
Question: Hi.Would a sliver of Suboxene ( cut from a standard strip), measuring 1/8" x 1/16" be detectable in a urine test? I take this amount occasionally when I find depression is keeping me from being productive on that day. I only take it when I run out of 525 Percocet (for which I have a prescription of 45 tablets, refillable after 60 days). I am due for a refill but must submit to a urine test beforehand. My doctor is not aware of the Suboxene.
While on the subject, is Suboxene ever prescribed as an anti-depressant? I'm not happy with the side effects of some anti-depressants or the results which, while keeping stress down, do not work well on the 'sad' issue.

Both the drug that you have mentioned in your question belongs to opiate group of drugs. Suboxone particularly is the synthetic opioid analgesics having combination of buprenorphine + naloxone. When the drug test carried out it usually detects the metabolites of the opioids. While being a synthetic compound suboxone is not usually detected in blood or urine. But if it is specifically suspected and tested for than it will be detected in the body fluids.
Suboxone is not prescribed as a anti-depressant. It is used as analgesics in the category of strong analgesics, opioid analgesics. It has following side effects: headache, insomnia, constipation, weakness, nausea, drowsiness, hypo-tension, sweating; other possible side effects include withdrawal symptoms, hallucinations.
