Brief Answer:
It is a safe product to use; you may try it.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have taken note of your query.

Indians traditionally use hair oil.
As such, hair oil is not a recommended product for hair/ scalp problems apart from those who have dry/ rough/ frizzy hair where it can have conditioning/ moisturizing effect.
Apart from moisturizing and softening effect, hair oils usually do not have any other effect on hair and scalp problems like dandruff or thinning. Hair oils rather worsen dandruff.
It is an OTC product and you may order it without the prescription of a doctor. It is otherwise a safe product to use and is a herbal product.
You may use it twice weekly, left overnight and washed next day with a gentle shampoo.
Specifically you may start an Iron supplement and a Biotin supplement if you have hair fall and thinning. Continue it for 4-6 months.
In addition you may use a topical Minoxidil 2% solution at scalp/ hair roots, twice daily.
Minoxidil is a hair growth promoter and is a US FDA approved product. It is available on prescription of a dermatologist.
If you have dandruff, you should wash your hair twice or thrice weekly with an antidandruff shampoo.
These are all prescription products therefore I suggest you to visit a skin specialist in your vicinity for an accurate assessment of the severity of your problem and for the needful.
