Question: Hello Doctor. My TGO 28 and TGP is 62 I have been taking muscle relaxant for the past 5 days. Is my TGP level something to worry about? Does this level mean liver damage? Thank you

Brief Answer:
An inflammation of the liver

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thank you for your query.
SGPT ( ALT) of 62 is mildly elevated and it is likely to be due to a mild liver inflammation. Do you have any other health concern like diabetes or are you obese? Do you take alcohol?
Did you have any viral infection?
These are common causes for elevation of SGPT.
If you have done a full liver function test and if SGPT of this level is the only abnormality, it is unlikely to be a serious problem.
Best wishes,
