Question: Hi Doc, I was in South XXXXXXX last summer where I received an unprotected fellatio from a sex worker. 7-8 weeks after I came back to US, I noticed some kinda boil-like bump which drained pus when pressed and painful also. I notice another one in my armpit like 3 days later and after I drained it a couple of them appeared in the same armpit. I got really worried and went to see a Doc, he told me they were abscesses. They persisted for about 2 weeks. I later developed nausea, lost of appetite, fatigue, indigestion(exessive gas) muscle ache and weight lost which lasted for 3 days. A week later I developed a sore throat with a feeling like some was stuck there and dryness which I still have until and it's been 98 days later. I became terrified and tested for HIV using the in Home Oraquick test at the 12weeks mark and it fortunately tested NEG-. Now my question is, can I trust my Oraquick HIV test result and focus and other STDs? And do my symptoms sound like any other STD? Sometimes I get muscle tingles, aches,headache and indigestion. I'm also wondering do HIV symptoms stay persistent for over 3 months post exposure? I read that if at all they appear, it'll between 2-6 post exposure and last 1-2 weeks but mine on the hand came 7-8 weeks and still have them 14 weeks. I read that HIV transmission through receptive oral (BJ) is only theoretical, is that right? I'm sorry if I sound too worried.
