Is Montek LC Advisable When Suffering From Cold?
Question: Hi Doctor, From around past 5 days, may be due to change in weather, I am having cold and I had to frequently blow my nose where watery light green / green mucus comes out. I don't have cough though. But since I work in centralised AC environment, the head gets heavier thru the day and more so toward the evening and substantial headache both fore head and back of the head and irritation, not to mention dryness of nose and tired dried eyes which causes fatigue and irritates a lot ‘irrespective of current cold condition’. Currently, on a daily basis I am taking steam inhalation which is of temporary relief.
I am currently taking NEW BONA PLUS daily morning and Power D3 60k tab once a week from past one and half month (as I've some issue diagnosed with my disc at the lower back) + 1 puff of alerflo nasal spray (Micronised flucticasane furuote) morning and evening (I've had FESS & Turbinoplasty last yearJuly; Used alerflo till Feb this year and the doctor then suggested to use it from around July due to monsoon weather)
In the above context of current medications, please advise if it is safe to take medication such as Certerizine or Montek LC; or is it best to meet a General Physician or an ENT?

Continue Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Use Saline nasal spray or rinse 3 puff each nostril thrice daily like solspre nasal spray ,
Tab Montek LC at night ,
Continue 1 puff of alerflo nasal spray twice daily ,
Tab paracetamol 650mg twice daily &
Antibiotic course of azithromycin 500mg once daily for 7 days.
Use complete treatment plan to get early relief .
Continue NEW BONA PLUS and Power D3 60k tab for lower back pain.
It is safe to take Montek LC at night in your case . You need to continue alerflo nasal spray till allergy subside .
You will need prescription for above medication from your General Physician .
Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.
