Brief Answer:
YOUR TREATMENT IS CORRECT; ALSO DIET AND LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION ADVISED

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com
This is Dr. Swarnava dattagupta answering your query.

I understand your concern.
Heptral is basically ademetionine which is a hepatoprotector i.e. it protects the liver. When there is not any major alterations in liver function test or LFT, we suggest ademetionine which protects the liver from further damage and helps the liver enzymes get back to normal. There are many other uses of ademetionine, it is even used a dietary supplement also.
Your SGOT levels are mildly increased. Also, your USG report suggests fatty changes in the liver. So, you have been rightly advised the above drug by your doctor. Take it as per the dosage prescribed. Also, do the following-

Avoid alcohol and smoking if any.
Avoid fatty or junk food.
Take more fresh fruits and vegetables, more dietary fibers. Take plenty of oral fluid.
Take small meals frequently, it helps in good digestion.
Exercise regularly like brisk walking, swimming, cycling etc. It enhances metabolism. Also, if you are overweight, it will help reduce extra weight.

Continue the above and it will be helpful.
Also, have you got your lipid profile tested? If not, then get it tested by talking to your doctor.

Hope i have answered your question.
If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.
Wish you good health.
Regards
