Brief Answer:
You need not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX welcome to HealthcareMagic.
I am Dr Aslam here to help you.

I have read your query in detail, and understand your concerns.

The usual protocol in such exposure is : we will do a screening test(tridot) at the first visit > if neg,we will repeat after 3 months.

If this second test is also negative, infection is highly unlikely.

Sometimes, especially in case of anxious patient like yours,we repeat the test after 3 more months. If that is too neg,we can be 100% sure(These screening tests have sensitivity of more than 99.5%)

You had gone beyond the 3rd step too.You had a neg antibody test after 1 year.
So I can assure you with 100% confidence that you are not infected,if you had no further exposure.
But,If you are so obsessed, there is nothing wrong(except the cost) in doing a western blot,of which I am sure to be neg.
Hope I have cleared your query. If you have further questions,I will be happy to help.Wishing you healthy days ahead.Thank you.

Doctor some says antibody can take longer than 1 year to build in our body but I have symptoms like joint pain head pain and vomiting I was under medicine for jaundise it can be false negative if we were under treatment means the result will be delayed
As per ur consult all my test results is conclusive
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Still you need not worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Antibody usually appears with in 2-12 weeks after exposure. It is to cover any unexpected delay,we are repeating the test at 6 months.Beyond that,we can be sure.
Regarding false neg:
False negative result is common in confirmatory tests like western blot(even here,it is very rare),and not in screening tests like tridot(that is why we use them for screening).
Conditions like hepatitis can(rarely) cause false positive result rather than false negative.

Hope you got cleared now.Thank you.
