Question: I have cronic colitis and have gotton a UTI and have been prescribed cefuroxime 250mg should I be taking this medicine

Hello,

the colitis won't pose any problems to your treatment normally. Cefuroxime can be taken as prescribed. Keep in mind though that all antibiotics (including cefuroxime) may cause antibiotic related diarrhea, so having diarrhea should not be attributed to colitis. If you do get diarrhea you should talk with a doctor again.
