Is Belara The Same As Diane?

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Feb 2017
Question: Hello,

I have switched from Belara to Diane pills. I took 21 pill of Belara, then made a 7 day break, and then started Diane immediately (like Belara). I now had 7 pills of Diane and had sex without extra protection on pill day 3 and 5. But I am worried perhaps I did not need to make a break between the pills? Was it a right way? Was I protected?

What should I do now? Should I use extra protection or take emergency pills in case I was not protected?

Thank you!

Brief Answer:
No extra protection is needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for trusting to HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concern.
No extra protection is needed in your case because
Diane have almost the same hormones as Belara.
Hence take Diane regularly and be calm.

Hope I was helpful.

Best regards
