Brief Answer:
Ashwagandha helps in hyperthyroidism

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

I could not understand your query about article, please clarify the same.

Ashwagandha helps in hyperthyroidism not in hypothyroidism. You need to consult ayurvedic doctor for the same.

Selenium(not selium) and iodine are important minerals required for thyroid hormone synthesis. Their deficiency of course can cause hypothyroidism but their supplementation cannot treat already established hypothyroidism due to other causes.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr Chintan Solanki.
