Miltown is also known as Meprobramate. It is an old medication used for anxiety it also the same ingredient in horse tranquilizers. It is not used very frequently in the US. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant and used frequently for depression, anxiety and pain control from neuropathy.
