Question: I have an ast level of 83. Should I be concerned? And what are the possible causes of this?

It is a very mild elevation and there is no need to be worried about it.

Minor elevation in liver enzymes can be seen in viral infection, alcohol intake or due to certain medication.

If you have the habit of taking alcohol , abstain from it. If you are on any sort of medication , do let me know.

Repeat AST test after 6 weeks .
