Hi,
Thanks for your query to healthcare magic.
Tonsillitis is usually caused by virus or bacteria that are contagious.
Therefore, the best prevention is to practice good hygiene.
Teach your child to:

Wash his or her hands thoroughly and frequently, especially after using the toilet and before eating, avoid sharing food, drinking glasses or utensils

To wash his or her hands after sneezing or coughing.

Other ways of improving immunity & preventing frequent infections is by eating a healthy diet along with fruits containing vitamin C like oranges, indian gooseberry, lemons etc. You can also give your child vitamin C tablets after consulting your doctor.

Hope the information was useful, I am happy to answer any further queries in this regard. If no kindly rate the query and close it.

Take care,
