What Causes Growing Pain And Burning Sensation At The Tip Of The Penis Along With Irritation Post Ejaculation?

Question: In January, I felt a prick at the tip of my penis - one side of the meatus. it instantly started to burn and be irritated a few weeks later I went to the doctor and they did an inspection and he didn't think it was anything to be concerned about but suggested I take a urine test in the morning when my urine is more acidic. I did take the urine test but unfortunately did later on in the day and results came back negative. my meatus is still irritated to date but does not burn. It gets really irritated after ejaculation. i do have the antibodies to HSV but never had any visual symptoms and in the past was diagnosed with chronic urethritis (essentially just had burning urination) but it was not the same feeling as this. When I take a sitz bath or have a bowel movement it does elevate the symptoms...so I am not sure what it could be. If it is Herpes I would think it would have gone and not continued with the urethritis symptoms. my urethra is constantly irritated still but no more localized burning at the tip. The meatus does look chapped but the skin is still normal looking with no discharge there is just some small red bumps that I don't think was there before. No sores.

Based on the facts that you have posted the pricking sensation at the tip of the penis that you get is most likely to be due to inflammation of urethral meatus .

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Did you have oral sex very recently?
2) Are you married ?
3) Does your female partner have vaginal discharge ?

The pricking sensation that you get at the external meatus is mostly due to inflammation of urethral opening .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to drink more water to keep your urine dilute

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily .

Thank you, I did have oral Sex a view days prior to the symptoms. Can this irritation last 4 months now? At this point the localized burning is gone but I still feel irritation at the opening and I would say a few inches down. If I pinch my shaft lower down where there is also irritation the meatus doesn’t feel irritated. I’m not sure if it turned into urethritis or not because I am getting a lot of pre cum during arousal so not sure if it means my urethra tube is all inflammed, but based on what you said the irritation at the tip could cause this. Is it my understanding that That the meatus irritation left untreated could cause urethritis

Thank you, I got the ointment and going to the doctors for the antibiotics. I just want to confirm that the irritation lower down (right under the head) which is inside my urethra on the same side as the meatys that was burning could be caused by the initial meatus irritation. I’d also like to point out the redness and prick was just on the inside of the tip but still on the meatus. No sores just redness. Just want to make sure I’m giving all the symptoms as basically it’s just been burning meatus and inflamed urethra. When I first had the burning I had a hard bowel movement that did create a one time white ejaculate looking substance which the doctor thinks was just a prostate thing and I had leaky pre cum that didn’t last long. But I will try the antibiotics and hopefully that works
