Question: I'm starting a heme supplement fo low iron to prevent anemia & help with my low energy. This is a natural source extracted from undigested liquid fractions from the liver of beef. I cannot take a regular supplement because of IBS. The Journal of Nutrition states this to be more absorbable with less side effects. This website states to mg's of "elements" iron. I don't know what that means & am trying to find a safe dose
