Brief Answer:
You need to visit same psychiatrist as his treatment helping you

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns about repeated payment to a doctor.

Since you are getting good response with the prescribed medications I feel you should visit to same doctor so he can make necessary changes in your prescription.

Unfortunately psychiatric medications can not be sold without prescription and that is the reason your chemist refused to refill your dose. You can request your psychiatrist to increase the days of prescription so there is little need to pay it again and again.

In case you are not getting adequate response with the prescribed medications you can visit another psychiatrist available in your city.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
Follow up

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

S Celepra 5 is the minimum effective dose of escitalopram and not everyone responds to this dose after some time. The effective dose of escitalopram ranges between 5 and 20 mg and most patients respond between 10 and 15 mg per day. Since you are already taking 5 mg I feel there is need to increase the dose when you visit your psychiatrist for next visit.

In addition the full effect of medication takes around two to four weeks and there is need to wait for more time to see full effect of medication.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
