Question: I was looking at the computer close for a few minutes can that damage the retina I think i was close to it for 2 seconds and im blind in right eye thanks

Hello, thanks for your question. But no, looking at a computer closely for two minutes will not cause damage to retina and will definitely not render you blind; so relax. The light reflex may just cause bleaching of the pigment cells as happens when we are in sunlight and enter a dark room and eyes take some time to adjust so rest assured you will be okay .

retina is the layer responsible for vision and if that is damaged then we cannot change it but if you have some peripheral vision then you may use certain low vision devices which will help you
