Brief Answer:
I suggest you go to the emergency room for better evaluation.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The shoulder dislocation should be treated right away. It should be placed right away at the shoulder socket. I suggest you go to the emergency room for better evaluation.

Meanwhile, some advice that I can give to you are:
- Put ice compress for 20 to 30 minutes 3 times a day
- Take ibuprofen 400 mg for the pain 3 times a day
- Use a shoulder immobilizer to prevent other damage
- Do an X-ray to confirm that there are no other damages
- Do gentle stretching exercises but avoid sports until full recovery.

The recovery may need some weeks.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other questions I'll be glad to help.

Brief Answer:
Some days off work are necessary especially if your work is related to physical activity

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Of course some days off work are necessary especially if your work is related to physical activity. It can be a partial dislocation and that is why you feel the cold only partially.

An X-ray should be done to confirm it so I strongly recommend a visit to the ER or to the orthopedist.

Meanwhile follow the advice.

is partial dislocation dangerous. can it be covered by work cover
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi (57 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Partial dislocation is less dangerous.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Partial dislocation means that the head of the upper arm bone is partially out of socket. It is less problematic than total dislocation.

It has to be confirmed by the X-ray of the shoulder. The treatment that you can do at home is the same as I explained you before.

It's important not to move the shoulder or to use the shoulder immobilizer until you will see the orthopedist. Don't worry, with the right treatment you will recover in some weeks.

Hope I helped you with your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
