Brief Answer:
different options available to you

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Sometimes the use of the medications to help break up the wax can cause a temporary worsening of the problem thought this is more common with oil based wax treatments.

The debrox is normally only indicated for 4 days so you would have to discontinue use at this point.
In terms of home treatment of ear wax the other options are-(1)salt water . SOme persons try the use of a very small amount of salt (approx 1 tsp) with a 1/2 cup of water. this can be done 1 to 2 times a day.
the person would need to stay on that side for 3 to 5 mins

(2) dilute hydrogen peroxide is also an option that is often used

If you use one of these options and there is no improvement or worsening then you should be seen.
Alternatively you can see someone at this stage if you have tried other home remedies already.

The ear may need to be syringed

I hope this helps, feel free to ask anything else
