Brief Answer:
you should wait for a bit more...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Most Dayquil formulations do contain the same active ingredient that Tylenol. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) can be given either as 500mg or 1000mg doses each time. If you choose to take 500mg then you can take another 500mg right away without any anticipated problem. If you take 1000mg then the next dose should be taken at least 6 hours later.

You can check the contents of Dayquil and Tylenol to find out how many mg of acetaminophen is contained in them or you can tell me their names exactly so I can check it for you. Most dayquil formulations contain 325mg of acetaminophen (like dayquil cold & flu relief liquicaps). Others may contain up to 650mg of acetaminophen. The same applies to Tylenol. For example, Tylenol extra strength contains 500mg of acetaminophen. Other formulations may contain less but also watch for the rest of the ingredients to avoid overdosage. In doubt please let me know the brand names or send me a good quality picture of the boxes.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind regards!
