Question: I recently accidentally took Tylenol 4 instead of regular Tylenol and immediately got red and itchy. It’s subsiding but still worried. I’ve taken both Tylenol and Codeine for numerous years and never had this reaction

Hives

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

Seems like you could be having urticaria or hives. I suggest you to use a soothing lotion e.g calamine lotion. In addition I suggest you to take an oral antihistamine e.g cetirizine 10mg tablet once a day for 3-5 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
