I Need Meloxicam For Severe Joint Pain . Had Two

There are alternatives to both Plavix & meloxicam, discuss with neurologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor Service.
I have gone through your question here and I understand your concern.
Meloxicam can be easily replaced either with Aceclofenac or selective cox2 inhibitors such as etoricoxib.
The headache does seem to be due to plavix in your case, the alternatives for this however are going to be difficult but not impossible.
You must report this side-effect to your neurologist.
If the headaches are quite debilitating, then it is better to choose an alternative to plavix, this can only be done by your neurologist.
The available options are low molecular weight heparin or warfarin.
Please discuss these with your neurologist at the earliest and see how it goes from there.
Hope this helps.

I have since been to see the neurologist with the emphasis on NOT switching from Plavix. The headaches were insignificant to her. I will ask about switching to Aceclofenac or etoricoxib.
Thank you so much!
You are welcome.
