Brief Answer:
Examinations such as ultrasound are necessary to confirm the diagnosis.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

There are many medical conditions that cause back pain and left abdominal pain.
Some of the causes can be:
-diverticulitis or constipation
-kidney stones
-inflammatory bowel disease
-sciatica pain

To rule out these causes I suggest the following examinations :
-An ultrasound, which is the most important examination to confirm the diagnosis
-A complete blood count
-A urinalysis
Meanwhile to calm the pain temporarily you can use painkillers such as ibuprofen 400 mg,three times a day.

Hope my answer was helpful.

Kind regards!
