Suggest Treatment For Sleeplessness And Terrible Muscle Pain In The Shoulders And Arms While Taking Crestor

Question: I have fatigue. I can fall asleep any where any time. I also have terrible muscle pain, mainly in my shoulders and arms all the time. Sometime I can barely drive my car, because of my arms feeling so weak. I can't do much without needing to sit down after a short time. I am 5'3" and weigh about 185. My weight goes up and down depending on how much I can do. I did have an at home sleep study, but the Dr. said I didn't have any problem there, but my insurance wouldn't paid for the hospital overnight study, so there was nothing he could do. I am Bi Polar and take Cymbalta/30mg + Cymbalta/60mg, Trileptal/300mg, Clonazepam/1mg x 2, and Crestor/10mg all once a day. This problem started several years ago about 7, but seem to come and go, but it's extreme right now. I am 64, born in January, 1954

I also have reviewed the medications that you are already taking.
In my opinion, your symptoms seem to be related side effects of Crestor.
Crestor cause as side effects :
- Weakness and fatigue
- Unexplained muscle pain
- Weight changes, especially weight gain
I suggest you to consult your doctor about these side effects and consider taking an alternative medication.

Meanwhile, you can use :
- Anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day.
- Take vitamin B complex supplements for the fatigue.
