Would Episodes Of Ureaplasma Infection Post Intercourse Be Due To Transmissions From My Partner?

Question: I have been in an exclusive relationship for almost a year. I underwent thorough testing for all illnesses 7 months ago incl for STI’s and it came back all clear. 3 months ago I became unwell and was found to have contracted Ureaplasma. I started antibiotics straight away. My partner was tested and he says his pathology results say he is negative for Ureaplasma. He refuses to go into antibiotics. And now every time we have sex I again become ill with symptoms of Ureaplasma and need to go back onto antibiotics. My symptoms include a very sore throat as we also have oral sex. How is this possible that he tests negative and I test positive? We have been making love 2-3 times a week for 10 or more months. And for the past few months I become ill with the exact same horrible symptoms after we have sex. Very distressing for our relationship. All other STI’s for me were also negative.
He will argue why should he be treated when his test is negative. I need to supply a scientific answer to him. Please can you provide one for me?

Brief Answer:
yes

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

He needs testing or ask him to show you the report . It is quite clear from the history that he is giving you the infection.
There is one way also, just convince him to use a condom for just one month. And see if you develop symptoms with the condom. If you don't develop symptoms he should be convinced. Perhaps he shall see the point.

Another option is that take him to psychiatric counseling who can convince him to undergo tests and treatment.

If you have any further query then you can come back, I will definitely help you and guide you appropriately.
