How Can A Chronic Growing Lump On The Upper Arm Be Treated?

default
Posted on Fri, 8 Sep 2023
Question: I have a firm lump about the size of a pecan, under the skin on the outside of my upper arm, between the deltoid and tricep. It's been there for at least 10 years, and has slowly gotten bigger. Any speculation?

It seems to be freely XXXXXXX doesn’t feel like it’s firmly attached to underlying bone or surrounding muscle/skin. It’s never caused any pain

Brief Answer:
Most probably a lipoma

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

With an additional description that you have given this looks to be most probably a small lipoma.

Can be a sebaceous cyst as the second diagnosis.

A lipoma is freely XXXXXXX painless non-tender lump growing very gradually.

Ultrasound will confirm this.

Hope I have answered your query.
