Detailed Answer:
Hi Rak,
Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
Excess of sleep after head bath does not relate to any underlying disease. It can be explained in following ways-
* Warmth is mostly linked to comfort zone... which causes relaxation leading to sleep.
Warm body leads to more blood circulation in body ..also..this may cause excessive sweating &fluid &mineral loss.....both the factors. leading to drop of blood pressure &less fresh blood oxygen)supply to brain leading to drowsiness &'s a physiological thing ....BUT please remember when this is associated with head ache or guiddiness .. consultation of a doctor is advised.
* Following initial heating after bath...there is cooling effect.Cooling down is psychologically related to sleep &excessive sleep follows.
The amusing thing is... we all were lying in amniotic fluid in our mother's womb in fetal stage....A warm bath reminds us of the same cozy , pleasent &safe feeling we had enjoyed ..getting reflection of same psychology... we get sound /excessive sleep after headbath.
**So getting sound &better sleep after head bath is mostly normal /physiological reaction. while . excessive sleep associated with headache or dizziness needs medical attention.
I hope that answers your query.Any follow up query is welcome.
