How Can Anxiety And Depression Due To Loneliness Be Treated While On Lezxapro?
Question: I am on Lexapro. I am 66 years old and feel a terrible sense of loss. I have failed to find a marriage mate due to marrying "only in the lord." Has resulted in my being alone. I just lost my brother 3 months ago. Am totally alone. I was prescribed 10 mgs. of Lexapro. have doubled up in the last 10 days. Feel much better.
I understand that it helps with anxiety as well. I do have Xanax in my glove compartment and use it VERY judiciously. I feel that it is customary that doctors start people on 10 mgs. I feel 20 mgs. is better. XXXXXXX from Maine thank you

How would she know the possible danger? I do not take any other prescriptions. Follow a good mineral supplemention as well. Emotions have the potential of making one sick. I am planning on calling my doctor tomorrow because I feel a lot better on this dose.

Increasing Lexapro by 10mg suddenly is not a good idea. It could cause serotonin syndrome. This is why it takes years of medical training to prescribe these medications. Please call your doctor tomorrow and discuss it.

I took 2 10 mgs. every 2 days to start for the first ten days. I will still call tomorrow. Promise!! Thanx XXXXXXX
