Can I Take Naproxen For Pain And Sleeplessness After Stitches To An Injury In The Leg?

Question: I am having major surgery on XXXXXXX 22. However, I had an accident and have 15 stitches in my leg. I am in pain and can't sleep. Can I take Naproxen??

Also check for whether there any local swelling or redness.
Elevated the leg above the heart level in laying down position to reduce the swelling and thus pain. Leg is a dependent part of body causing pooling of edema fluid causing the pain.
