Brief Answer:
This may be transient ischemic effect. You should see a neurologist.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

There can be so many causes for this, however with hypertension, hypothyroidism and in age over 40; this episode may indicate a TIA( that is transient ischemic attack )this mean that a small clot may have blocked the vessels to the brain for a while which then dislodged itself. The good thing is that it goes on its own but this means that in future there are chances of having larger strokes.
this is the worst that it can be but it's necessary to rule this out as this is quite manageable.

Other possible causes include very high or low BP or heart related problem but those seems unlikely in the context of your history.
What I would advise is that you should have an appointment with a neurologist, who would assess you in more details and may confirm it if it was a TIA .if yes he can prescribe you certain drugs that may prevent stroke in future like aspirin.

Hope I have answered your question. I will be glad to answer any further question about this. Please don't hesitate to ask anything more you need to know.

Dr. Rahman
