I Am A 57 Year Old White Male. My Right
Question: I am a 57 year old white male. My right knee swelled and when it cleared it left a slightly raised red mark surrounded by discolored white/pink skin. I have seen a dermatologist twice. The first time about a month ago liquid nitrogen was used on the red spot. After my second visit, the dermatologist thinks it's an inflammatory process and gave me clobetasol 0.05%. I can only use that for a few weeks. Am I on the right track or is there something else I need to pursue?

My knee became swollen for just a few days 2-3 months ago and I have noticed no impairment since. My dermatologist called it atopic dermatitis. Any guess as to how long this will last? Will my doctor have me off and on the clobetasol. It's only recommended I use it for two weeks at a time.
