Question: HI DR. I HAVE POLIO IN MY LEFT LEG. I AM WALKING WITH SUPPORT FROM MY HAND , CAN I GET ADVICE HOW I CAN WALK WITH SUPPORT FROM MY HAND?
i mean i want to walk without support from my left hand

Polio needs extensive clinical examination to know which group of muscles are weak and which have full power.
Tendon/muscle transfer with release procedure may help you in walking without support.
I will advise you to consult orthopaedic surgeon for clinical evaluation.

Without surgery if there are no contracture then braces/orthotic device may help in assisted unsupported walking. If required you can use orthotic supportive brace like [Floor reaction orthotic] for improving walking.

You may consult physiotherapist for guidance. He may start TENS, or ultrasound which is helpful in your case.
