Brief Answer: Need not worry at all. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing in. The bilirubin levels which you have stated are a bit high. But the liver enzymes are within normal range. This suggests that the liver is functioning normally. Clinically you need to look for the following 1. Yellowish tinge of the sclera.(eyes) 2.Itching sensation all over the body. 3.Pale coloration of stools. 4. Loss of apatite. 5. Loss of energy. 6. Discomfort in digesting fatty meals. If the above are absent then you need not worry at all. If any of the above are present then I would suggest you to undergo further investigations. An ultrasound of the abdomen would be advisable to study the hepatobiliary system. In the mean time I would suggest a few liver tonics which would be beneficial for recovery. 1. Tricholine citrate+Sorbitol combination. 2 tablespoons in a glass of warm water in the morning on empty stomach everyday for 6 months. 2. Ornithine containing compounds.(1-1-1)X 1month. These liver tonics will strengthen you liver function and will protect it against infections as well. I hope this answers your problem. Regards

Brief Answer: Dietary modifications and liver tonics will help. Detailed Answer: Hi, thanks for the feedback. I would suggest that you get an ultrasound done to rule out any specific cause causing upper GI symptoms. Regarding diet I would suggest a bland, low fat, low carbohydrate high protein diet. Include natural antacids such as bananas and cucumbers in the regular diet. Start the liver tonics which I have advised and observe for a month. I hope this answers your doubt. Regards
