Brief Answer:
Please confirm first if it is intrauterine pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query.

Before going for abortion, we need to confirm whether the pregnancy is intrauterine (inside the urerus) or intratubal (inside fallopian tube), though intratubal pregnancies are rare.

Kindly consult the gynecologist to confirm if it is intrauterine pregnancy, so that pills can be tried. But, pills has its own side effect like incomplete abortion, excessive bleeding, etc.

Safest method is D&C (dilatation and curatage). I would suggest you to consult the gynecologist for proper abortion.

I hope, this answer helps in taking decision for you.

Regards.
Dr. Jyoti.

Brief Answer:
Mandatory to meet doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr. XXXXXXX

There are abortion kits which contain mifepristone and misoprostol tablets available to terminate early pregnancy when pregnancy is within 12 weeks. But these abortion pills are not always safe. It can cause serious health implications when used without medical supervision. Further the effects can be detrimental in case of ectopic pregnancy. To make your things complicated, the aborption pills are not available over the counter.

I understand the practical problems you are facing. But unfortunately the best means to have a safe pregnancy termination is through visiting a gynecologist. I understand there is a language barrier. But most multispecialty / corporate hospitals have foreign patient relationship officer who can assist in such cases. If she is working there, she can consider talking to her colleagues who can guide her to a nearest specialty clinic and get the abortion done safely.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr. Jyoti.
