Brief Answer: Thank you for using HCM, I would love to help Detailed Answer: the most important thing you need to be careful of is to not stop using it too fast without tapering off of its use over time. this will be both XXXXXXX and difficult. usually, especially at first, you should start slowly by decreasing the nightly dose. discuss with your doctor if you can switch to 22.5 mg each night for around 2-3 weeks. continue that dosage until you are doing well on it, them decrease the dose to 15mg each night for another several weeks until you re tolerating it well. then you can further decrease to 7.5 mg for a few weeks, and then stop altogether. that it really the safest and most tolerable way to stop, since you have been on a high dose for a long time. occasionally, some people need to use a different sleep medicine in order to get off this one, but you can discuss with your doctor if you feel like that is the only way it would work for you. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.
