default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jun 2014
Question: Had four. Popped two and white pimple like pus came out and they went away. The 2 remaining are much harder and won't seem to pop. They dont hurt unless squeezed. Had for several weeks now and no signs of improvement. Also my balls have itched for sometime now., way before I got the bumps. What could these be?

Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cysts

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have understood it. I have looked at the Image.

I could make out that you have scrotal sebaceous cysts.

The best way to get rid of them is surgically, wherein the cyst is removed in totality along with the cyst wall.
I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a surgeon.

Squeezing would only temporarily empty the contents and it will almost certainly get filled up again.

Sebaceous cysts are asymptomatic. The itch that you experience is unrelated and could be due to a Scrotal Dermatitis/Scrotal Lichen Simplex Chronicus.

You could use a mild topical steroid e.g hydrocortizone cream for symptomatic relief from itching.

An OTC antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg once daily would also provide you symptomatic relief from itching.

Regards
