Brief Answer:
Laser hair reduction

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For facial hair I would suggest laser hair reduction with either Diode laser or Nd:YAG laser. Along with laser you may also use Eflornithine hydrochloride cream (Elyn cream or Eflora cream), twice daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance

Hello doctor, glad to have your message.
I was hoping if there could be a possible alternative like home-care remedies for the same. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Regarding facial hair

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Unfortunately home remedies won't help reduce excess facial hair. You may use Eflornithine hydrochloride 13.9% cream (Elyn Or Eflora Cream), twice daily on affected skin, however, it won't reduce hair permanently. The effect usually lasts as long as you use the cream. Only Laser hair reduction would give you long lasting results.

Hope I have answered your query.

Alright. Also, would there be any kind of dietary intake, like a particular food/ habit that be kept in mind to not aggravate the issue?

I, do not smoke / take any alcohol. I, usually skip my breakfast & have dinner at late hours due to work. Sugar cravings have been increased, and milk or by-products are avoided as far as possible.

Brief Answer:
Regarding dietary advice

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Excess facial hair is due to hormonal imbalance. Sugar cravings and eating unhealthy does play havoc with hormones and may contribute to hormonal imbalance. Therefore I suggest you to eat healthy, low calorie foods and frequent small meals rather than binging on unhealthy foods
