How To Reduce Blood Urea And Creatinine Level?
diuretics and limit protein intake.
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Urea is mildly increased, which is normal in elderly.
2. Creatinine level is within normal limits.
To reduce levels further,
a. Avoid excessive protein intake.
b. Take good amount of fluids. Avoid in night, so sleepy is not disturbed.
c. You can take diuretics like low dose of furesimide to reduce levels. It is possible, you might have dizziness sometimes. You can take prescription from your doctor.
For swelling of legs,
a. Elevate legs in lying position above level of heart- put two to three pillow below legs in sleeping position.
b. Avoid sitting or standing for long time till swelling is reduced.
c. If still not reduced, you can use low dose diuretics as suggested above.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
