How To Recognise Implantation Bleeding?

default
Posted on Mon, 21 Mar 2016
Question: I am having changes in my breasts as a signs of pregnancy, hot flashes, and I don't know if I am having my period or menstrual bleeding. The blood seems heavier than what most people describe as implantation bleeding but it never comes out on its own. Only when I go to the bathroom. I never need to use pad or panty liner and it has been less than a day. The color is brown/dark red/maybe black. Could this be implantation?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be implantation bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Implantation bleeding is usually light and like spotting.
Very rarely, the implantation bleeding is heavy, but it is never like periods.
Implantation bleeding usually occurs after5-6 days after conception.
When did you have unprotected intercourse?
When did you have your last menstrual period?
Please get back to me with these details so that I can explain you clearly.

I had unprotected intercourse on Wednesday, the 13th, as well as Saturday the 16th. My last menstrual period was approx a month ago but this is still probably a few days earlier than last time. Most of the blood is similar to drops. It is not continuous and stops once I wipe it with toilet paper or before then. And again, usually I feel it come out when I am not in the bathroom but this time it is only when I go to the bathroom that I see it.

Does it matter that it is dark red (nearly black) and not closer to pinkish or light brown? Also, how long should this bleeding last to rule out a period?

The bleeding got heavier, enough to need a pad but not enough to fill one at all. I might have had an early miscarriage. When will the changes in my breasts go away? I still have the pointy nipples all the time, wider aerolas in diameter, darker aerolas and nipples, and blue veins showing.
