Brief Answer: Persoanl motivation, stage by psychiatrist, treatm Detailed Answer: Hi and thanks for the query, Management of depression like in your case usually involves both life style changes, advice and medications depending on the stage. A personal firm decision and effort to work against depression is needed. You might have to realize that everyone has problems, and its but normal to have worries in life and you try to bear them as such. Advice, spending time with loved ones and friends, opening up to trusted ones could be of great good. Exercise has been very helpful in depression, especially in persons with associated sleep disorders. it is imperative to get a proper medical consultation, preferable from your psychiatrist, for the depression to be staged. based on the stage, treatment options might differ. Medications are generally very effective, but the opinion of a psychiatrist for appropriate diagnosis and staging is my advice. Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health. Dr Bain
