Brief Answer:
These symptoms suggest depression.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. You are just 33 and have symptoms like persistent sadness, low confidence, bad suicidal thoughts, increased sleepiness, poor interaction with others, not liking to go out etc. These symptoms suggest some depressive disorder and should be evaluated properly. If these are present for more than one month then there is need to consult a psychiatrist.

I'd advise you to get your thyroid function tests and vitamin B12 levels done. Low vitamin B12 levels are one of the common causes of depressive symptoms. Hypothyroidism also increases the risk of depression. Once both these come normal then we can go with conventional treatment of depression.

SSRIs are mainstay of treatment. Fluoxetine, Sertraline, Paroxetine etc are used commonly. These drugs helps to improve the symptoms in about 4 weeks of starting the treatment and have great efficacy. These are safe drugs and will improve your day to day functioning.

Apart from this cognitive therapy also have great roles in depression.

So please make mind to consult a psychiatric. These symptoms are easily treatable.

Thanks, Take care.
