Brief Answer:
Need lifestyle modification

Detailed Answer:

Thanks for your question on HealthcareMagic & I do understand your concern

"As" per your clinical history is concerned do take medications as usual and modify your life style which may prevent it -:

1)Try to reduce your weight by 5% because excess weight puts pressure on abdomen.

2)Try to avoid tight fitting clothes

3)Make a list of all trigger points which leads to gastric irritations. The most common foods which you need to avoid is fatty, fried foods, tomato sauce, alcohol, chocolate, mint, garlic, onion, and caffeine etc

4)Try to avoid over eating and eat small meals and if possible take time in eating

5)Do not lie down after a meal wait for at least 3 hours before going to bed at night.

6)Do not smoke at all and avoid alcohol

7)Raise your head of sleeping bed to at least 6 inch

hope that helps

I used to be a chain smoker and have been having nicogum 2 for the last three years is it possible that due to continuous chewing of gum I am getting these gastric attacks.

how long should i take kinpride 3 mg sr and pantocid i have already been having it for the past 45 days

Brief Answer:
side effect of gum

Detailed Answer:

Thanks for your follow up reply

“As” per your reply is concerned it is the effect of NICOGUM-2 only which you are taking for 3 years and this should not be used for more than 12 weeks and it should be used like this for light smokers-:
Take 1 piece of 2 mg gum every 2 hours for weeks 1–6 then use 1 piece of 2 mg every 4 hours for weeks 7–9 then use 1 piece of 2 mg gum every 8 hours for weeks 10–12. And you should not eat or drink before or while chewing the gum.so do it like this.

So do take preventive steps and you may not require antacid and PPI at all.

Hope that helps

“As” per your question if you take preventive as suggested and stopping Gum then you may not need [pantacid and kinpride]. So if you feel better now then you can stop it as there is no time limit for such medications.
