Question: I had unprotected sex with ma gf on 12th November 2014 and her period suppose to come on 19th November2014 but uptil now her period dint came she had taken ipill on 15th November2014 is she pregnant

I-pill, when taken within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse reduces the chance of pregnancy by 89%.. I pill has high dose of hormone which can result in intermenstrual spotting and delayed periods.. Delayed periods can be due to this..

Usually periods came in a week's time.. If there is no periods after 10 days, get a urine pregnancy test done and if negative, you can take progesterone tablet for 5 days to get withdrawal bleeding..

But now this time she had unprotected sex for second time and taken ipill for second time and she was having headheache ,abdominal pain also is ipill working and is there any chance of pregnancy sorry for asking again

Hi doctor, thanks so much for your prompt response on my last query.

My girlfriend got her periods on 21st but only spotting is being observed, cycle flow isnt normal as expected . so as u suggested progesterone for 5 days , wld it b fine if she takes endogest 100 (cipla) for 5 days... Please suggest the timing of dosage if possible... Thanks...

If only spotting is seen, get a pregnancy test first.. If negative, wait for the onset of normal periods spontaneously.. I pill cause some irregularity in the period pattern.. Normal period will come in a week's time if spotting has started.. No need to start endogest..
