How Much Can The Frenulum Cause The Penis To Curve?

default
Posted on Sat, 14 Jun 2014
Question: Hello Dr. How much can the frenulum cause the penis to curve? When my foreskin is pulled back when in its flaccid state, it distinctively pulls the head to the left and if i continue to pull the skin further, it feels tight. Do i need to get it cut to release it?
When my penis is erect, it does have quite a pronounced curve to the left, especially about half way up it makes a distinctive turn towards to the left - it is driving me crazy, because it seems more curved than i would call normal. it doesn't hurt when erect, nor does it cause a problem when masturbating. i haven't had sex yet, but am worried about showing it to my girlfriend - i am 29 and i'm sure it has got worse.
I've seen two Dr's who looked at the penis in flaccid state and didn't even ask to see it erect and said its fine...!!!??
i have also been fat since a child - i was at least 6 stone over weight and recently lost 3-4 stone and i still have what i would call excessive fat around the groin area. You can grab a handful. Could this have any affect on the situation - also, my testicles seem to have a mind of their own and raise and lower them selves several times through out the day. My penis does not hang when flaccid unless ive had a hot shower / bath or i'm warm and relaxed in bed.
Can high blood pressure affect any of this area and what 'mood' it appears to be in..??
Please help me, i am desperate to have answers and make sure everything is in order or not. Do i need to lose all my fat and get ripped in order to make everything ok - if so, i will do it.

Brief Answer:
you seem to have paraphimosis

Detailed Answer:
hello XXXX
Thanks for choosing wwwhealthcare magic.
Initially the first issue of frenulum. You seem to have difficulty in pulling the skin back all the way back to corona . Normally it can be done without a fuss , otherwise one may need to get it released by removing the skin . This procedure is called circumcision

Secondly, the question of bend of erect penis to left. You should understand that few penises in the world are straight, if there are some. so if there is gradual bend starting from the base, it may be normal, posing no problems for future sex life . Peyronie's disease is due to deposition of collagen tissue under Tunica albugenia. When you visit a doctor who knows this well. he will palpate your penis in flaccid state and if there is suspicion, he will order for a coloured doppler of flaccid penis. this is very easily diagnosed and no need to check in erect state. Beds of more than 45 degree are abnormal . The treatment consists of medical and surgical corrections if there is problem in entering vagina. If you can enter ,despite this, relax and enjoy sex, nothing to worry. Being overweight does n't contribute to bending, though may cause erection issues.
Hypertension can cause problems in erection but no relation with bending.

Thank you for your very quick response; greatly appreciated :)
You mention circumcision...... i am not interested in having the whole foreskin removed, but simply wondered if the piece of skin at the back of the penis (frenulum) can be cut across.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Please discuss this with the doctor you consult

Detailed Answer:
Hello
You can discuss this issue at the time of surgery because these things are decided at the moment only. I think cutting through frenulum only can cause recurrence of problem and disfigurement.
