Brief Answer:
Treatment is generally life long

Detailed Answer:
Dear friend,

For a long life, the medicines have to be taken life long
The dose has to be adjusted to the individual

It is a silent disease and can target many organs

Alternative / complimentary methods have some minor effect- 2 to 5 mm only
They include salt restriction and regular exercise / biofeedback, relaxation techniques and yoga

Take care
Good luck
