Question: Hi,

I have knock knee in both the legs and I cannot perform squats because the TA length is short. I limp because of these two problems. I am planning to go for osteotomy and TA lengthening surgery in October. My Dr suggested me to go for supracondylar corrective osteotomy and TA Lengthening surgery. I have few concerns related to this.
1. what will be the maximum recovery time after both the surgeries.
2. How long will it take for me to return to normal activities like sports, gym etc.
3. whatever the chances of success of this surgery?
My age is 24
height 5.7
weight 67

hi
thanks for the quick response.
There is a Dr named as Dr j Maheshwari. He perform key hole surgery to correct knock knee so that there is no scar of surgery on legs. Instead of cutting the bone and join it back using plate and screws, he break the bone correct the deformity and join the bone by plastering it. He has u uploaded one video on YouTube for the same procedure. you can check that video for your reference.
So my question is whether such surgery is safe?
and how long does a broken leg with plaster take to heal ?
