Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I am glad it is a sprain and not a fracture, here are the recommendations for a sprained foot ma'am:

+Rest as much as possible
+Elevation of the leg to your heart level when seated or even lying down to avoid swelling
+Ice application over the region as many times as possible in a day (At least 3 times for about 15 minutes each time)
+Avoid weight bearing
+Avoid walking for a week at least
+Avoid all physical activity that can cause any amount of stress to the leg
+Try to avoid moving the leg (foot) completely for at least a week
+Best to go about all the suggestions for about 2-3 weeks for best results and preventing of recurrence

It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for the foot to heal completely, but provided you rest it as much as possible.

I hope you find my response helpful sir. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
