How Long Does Peptic Ulcer Take To Heal Post Treatment?

Question: my wife has stopped an 4 week cooers of proton pumps our gp though she has an ulcer
when she stopped she has had the worse reflux some times she has 2 / 3 good days then a couple of bad ones
also complains of burning around her anus

It usually takes 4 to 6 weeks for the ulcer to heal.
If she has symptoms she should continue.
Did she have the test for a bacteria called H . pylori? This is an ulcer producing bacteria and if it is present, it has to be eradicated.
Burning around the anus is not due to peptic ulcer.
She should avoid spicy food.
