Brief Answer:
about 6 weeks

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query, saw the attached image,

Usually, if the fractures bone is immobilized well, with the fractured fragments in the right place with good contact, it should heal in about 6 weeks (noted your concern as it's already been 7 weeks).

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu

Brief Answer:
Joint stiffness due to prolonged immobilisation

Detailed Answer:
Usually joint movement should have been encouraged from 4th week onwards. Because of the delay, the joints have gotten stiff.

You need to pursue physiotherapy for 2 months to get back appreciable joint movement.

I am 27 years old I have been overweight my whole life. I had x-rays done on my spine in 2008 of the lower spine and they found degenerative arthritis. For years I have been dealing with severe pain in my mid to upper back and obvious curvature. Here recently my left hand and fingers are tingly and numb but not all the way. I also have joint stiffness and weakness in my ankles. I was sent to have an MRI but have not saved up the funds to do that yet. I suspect Ankylosing spondylitis but no other Dr. takes my condition seriously...I would like to know if this is something that I should be more worried about or if it can wait?
